James Gunn announced in a post commemorating the first day of filming that his upcoming Superman picture will just be named Superman. "I named the movie Superman: Legacy after I finished writing the first draft of the script.
It was evident that the title was SUPERMAN by the time I locked the final draft. travelling to you in July 2025.
He included a picture of the Superman emblem from the movie, which was once known as Superman: Legacy, with the message.
The logo's snow-dusting alludes to a scene that might be taken in Superman's icy stronghold, The Fortress of Solitude.
Naturally, the 1978 landmark film helmed by Richard Donner and starring Christopher Reeve was titled Superman. (Although Superman: The Movie was another name for it.)
Starring as Clark Kent/Superman is David Corenswet, while Rachel Brosnahan portrays Lois Lane, a reporter for Daily Planet.
Nicholas Hoult, who plays the archetypal villain Lex Luthor, is also in the cast. Superman: Legacy was the previous title of the movie.
The picture, which is Warner Bros.'s first standalone Superman endeavour in over a decade after Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
The ensemble cast include the following actors: Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Terence Rosemore (Otis), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), María Gabriela de Faría (The Engineer), and Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen).

The film is being written and directed by Gunn. "I totally identify with Superman since he embodies everything I am,Because he's fucking Superman, he's both the ultimate insider and an outsider who feels alienated.
And that somewhat describes how I feel". Gunn said to the Hollywood reporter in the previous year.
